A
total turn-key project resulted for Creative Resources Company - from
concept / creation, through research, planning, design, testing and development
to production, distribution, sales, advertising and promotion. This was
the first time in history that a fun “board-game” was invented that actually
taught music and worked successfully !
The business / Marketing plan was produced, $1/4 million capital resourced,
the business incorporated, shareholder agreements signed, world-wide legal
protection co-ordinated, including copyright, trademark, industrial design
and patents, in Canada, U.S.A., England, Japan, Australia, Germany, France
and Italy.
World-level "Superstar" sourcing, presentations, negotiations
and endorsements were successfully achieved with:- Oscar Peterson (World
famous Jazz Pianist), Liona Boyd (World famous female Classical Guitarist),
The Canadian Brass (World famous Brass Quintet), Royal Conservatory of
Music. All sales promotion, advertising and P.R. kits were produced. A
very high profile media campaign launch (T.V., Radio and Print) was organized
in “split-second” opportunistic timing at Roy Thomsom Hall. Retail / Sales
were launched and stores were prepared, Educational / School-board / Pupil
presentations made, Trade and Consumer shows exhibited, Event marketing
developed (Kiwanis Music Festival), Product assembly, Warehousing, Order
and Shipping logistics systems were set-up. This promotion resulted in
over $1 million in “free” national publicity (with a minimal investment)
and the most successful launch of a board game, selling more units than
any other board game, in Canada in the first year.!
